Amisha Mehta, PharmD, BCPS, is a member of the Summit Health Pharmacy team. She is a graduate of the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy and completed her residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Ms. Mehta’s expertise is in chronic disease management, outpatient medication management, education, and affordability.

Ms. Mehta believes that honesty and trust are most important when interacting with patients. “So much medication management relies on the patient being transparent about how they manage their medication,” says Ms. Mehta. She prides herself on building a trusting and non-judgmental relationship with patients with the goal of finding a medication regimen that works best for them.

What she enjoys most is being able to connect with, educate, and empower patients on healthcare medication management. She is passionate about being able to deep dive into a subject to solve unique and rare issues that arise regarding medications. When she is not working, Ms. Mehta enjoys teaching, dancing, hiking, and exploring new cities and towns to find vegetarian food spots.
