Jaymes Testa, MS, PA-C, is a member of the Summit Health’s Orthopedic team. He pursued a career in healthcare to positively impact people through healing and care. He finds healthcare intellectually challenging and fulfilling his aspiration to contribute significantly to the community.

Mr. Testa brings dual expertise in orthopedics and emergency medicine to his practice. He is adept at addressing acute injuries and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. His philosophy of patient care is grounded in compassion, communication, and competent medical care. He believes that treating patients extends beyond addressing physiological and physical symptoms. It involves recognizing and responding to the extrinsic factors that may contribute to the underlying disease process.

Mr. Testa says, “Effective communication stands at the core of my approach, ensuring that patients feel heard, understood, and involved in their medical and/or surgical decisions. This fosters a therapeutic partnership based on trust and respect, empowering patients to take an active role in their healthcare.” He finds building trust, addressing patients’ concerns, and providing reassurance are the most important aspects of a patient encounter.

Outside of medical practice, Mr. Testa dedicates himself to a balanced lifestyle, prioritizing moments with family and friends. He enjoys traveling, fly fishing, kayaking, and hiking, which keeps him mentally refreshed. He believes that his interests and hobbies help to keep him grounded, energized, and ready to meet the demands of his professional and personal life. He is especially passionate about caring for Veterans, stemming from a deep respect for their sacrifices.
