Sal Mastrolia, RMA, specializes in medical research. Mr. Mastrolia is a clinical research coordinator for studies involving rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis, diabetes mellitus, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, lupus, and hypercholesterolemia. His expertise includes working with study participants on informed consent, assisting with physical exams and assessments, ensuring patient confidentiality, and arranging follow-up visits.

In addition to his clinical and medical research skills, Mr. Mastrolia has special training in ultrasound and vascular sonography and upper and lower extremity venous and arterial protocols.

Before joining New Jersey Physicians at Summit Health, Mr. Mastrolia was a vascular sonographer for Ultrasound Imaging Corporation in Edison, New Jersey. He says, "It is gratifying to work in a field that helps get new drug treatments to patients who need them."

When he is not working with his patients and on his medical research projects, Mr. Mastrolia enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing soccer, and cooking.
