Nancy Moran, BSN, MSN, RN, APN-BC is a member of Summit Health's Internal Medicine team. Ms. Moran is an adult nurse practitioner who has experience in a variety of settings, including urgent care, internal medicine, geriatric medicine/post-acute care, and college health. She has a special interest in chronic disease prevention or reversal through healthy eating, diet, and exercise.

Ms. Moran became interested in health care during her high school years when she was exposed to the medical profession through her role as a candy striper at a local hospital and as a member of the Medical Explorers group, a program offered to young men and women who have an interest in learning more about careers in health care.

Ms. Moran believes in open provider-patient communication and always tries to treat patients as if they were members of her own family. “I want my patients to feel supported,” she says. “It’s very important to me that by the end of a visit, my patient feels I have addressed all medical issues and concerns and have a plan of care that they agree with,” she adds.

When not working, Ms. Moran enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. Other hobbies of hers include reading and exercising, whether with yoga, Pilates, or something a bit more adventurous such as skiing.
