Nonita Mittal, MD, FAAP, is a dedicated pediatrician with a passion for helping children lead healthy lives and alleviating their suffering when they are sick. As a member of Summit Health's General Pediatrics team, Dr. Mittal treats children from birth until they become adults. Her expertise lies in maintaining healthy childhood and treating common childhood ailments, including but not limited to infections, asthma, and injuries.

Dr. Mittal firmly believes in the philosophy that prevention is better than cure. Her approach to patient care is grounded in evidence-based practices and patient values. She states, "The most important thing is that the patients feel that all their complaints were listened to and addressed to their satisfaction."

What she enjoys most about her job is the interactions with kids and their parents. "Every family is unique and taking care of them provides me with an opportunity to learn from and grow with them," she says. This personal connection and the chance to make a difference in a child's life is what drives her each day.

When she is not at work, Dr. Mittal likes to read books, engage in outdoor activities, and spend quality time with her family and friends. She is especially passionate about all aspects of preventive and holistic health care.
