Palak Patel, PA-C, is member of the Summit Health Rheumatology team. Inspired by her mother, a nurse, Ms. Patel has always been dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the well-being of others and contributing positively to her community. In her role as a rheumatology physician assistant, she specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of disorders affecting the joints, muscles, and connective tissues.

During patient consultations, Ms. Patel is committed to ensuring that her patients fully comprehend their conditions, available treatment options, and effective health management strategies. She places a high priority on both the physical and emotional comfort of her patients, actively involving them in their care decisions.

Ms. Patel’s approach to patient care is grounded in several key principles: compassion, empathy, holistic care, patient education, collaboration, evidence-based practice, continuity of care, and advocacy. She states, "I strive to understand my patients' physical and emotional needs, viewing each individual as a whole person and considering not only their medical condition but also their lifestyle, preferences, and goals."

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Ms. Patel enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, and engaging in outdoor activities. She is deeply passionate about fostering supportive family dynamics, enhancing community mental and emotional well-being, and recognizing the role of spirituality in holistic health.
