Anita Sulibhavi, MD, is a member of Summit Health’s Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery team. Dr. Sulibhavi developed the desire to enter healthcare at an early age, partially because of her love for the sciences, and partially because of her personal experience with the positive impact a patient-physician relationship can have on not only a patient, but also for their family and loved ones.

Dr. Sulibhavi sees patients of all ages with a wide array of otolaryngologic concerns, including sinus disease, sleep apnea and snoring, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, voice complaints, salivary gland disorders, skin and oral lesions, pediatric concerns and head and neck cancers. She takes a holistic approach to management combining both medical and surgical approaches to improve patient quality of life and believes that the foundation of the patient-physician relationship is compassion and open-communication, along with preparation that begins long before the clinic visit.

During a patient visit, Dr. Sulibhavi believes the most important thing is to establish trust and create an environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns. “What I love most about medicine is that there is never just one way to arrive at a solution or solve a problem, and that no two patients are the same. Treating medical problems requires not only knowing medicine but building rapport with your patients to arrive at a successful outcome,” she explains.

When she is not treating patients, Dr. Sulibhavi enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, spending time outdoors with her husband and German Shepherd, and traveling.
