Mayur Chalia, MD, is a member of Summit Health's Neurology team. Dr. Chalia specializes in epilepsy and has a special interest in headaches. Epilepsy, a seizure disorder, is caused by disturbances in the electrical activity of the brain. 

Dr. Chalia offers diagnostic and treatment strategies for controlling seizures and headaches using evidence-based medicine, as well as counseling, lifestyle modification, and dietary therapies. Dr. Chalia is passionate about providing excellent, focused care using his expertise to ensure a good quality of life for his patients. 

During a patient visit, Dr. Chalia believes that interaction followed by examination is the key to finding the root of a patient's problem. "I am fascinated with diagnosing neurological conditions by understanding complex neural pathways," he says. 

Outside of work, Dr. Chalia enjoys exploring different cuisines, traveling, swimming, and spending time with his family.
