Peter Nakagami, MD, is a member of Summit Health’s Infectious Diseases and Travel Medicine team. Dr. Nakagami focuses on treating and managing infections, evaluating if an infection is causing other symptoms, and helping steward our resources to make sure infections are properly treated.

Dr. Nakagami is passionate about providing patient-centered, high-quality care to each of his patients. He believes that compassionate healthcare can make a difference in a patient’s life.

“It is important to me that a patient feels they have been able to explain their situation while being carefully listened to, and they leave their visit with a mutually accepted plan of care.”

Outside of work, Dr. Nakagami enjoys running and exploring new cuisines.
