Heather Provence, PMHNP-BC is a nurse practitioner with a specialty in working with adults in the mental health field. Ms. Provence has a sub-specialty in substance abuse and addiction management. She pursued a career in healthcare because she always found the body fascinating, how it works and how to make it work better. She loves being able to help people when they are not feeling their best.

Ms. Provence’s philosophy is to meet people where they are and never push someone to where you think they should be if not ready. Most important to her is to develop a trusting and non-judgmental environment and relationship with her patients. She enjoys most getting to know people and helping them gain the tools and ability to improve their day-to-day life and level of functioning.

When she is not treating patients, Ms. Provence enjoys watching Marvel movies and traveling and spending time with friends and family. Her passions also include overall improving the awareness of mental illness, addiction, and diabetes. She thinks it is important to spread awareness, treatments, and management to those in the community.
