Adam Thaler, DO, is a member of Summit Health’s Anesthesiology team and serves as Medical Director at Center for Advanced Surgical Excellence in Voorhees, NJ. Dr. Thaler pursued a career in health care because he was passionate about helping people and wanted to make a difference in their lives. 

As an anesthesiologist, Dr. Thaler treats patients with a variety of medical conditions who are having surgery. “My philosophy is to treat patients how I would want to be treated,” he explains. Dr. Thaler realizes that he sees patients on one of the most important days of their lives and feels it is vital to make his patients feel comforted and cared for before they go under anesthesia for surgery.

During a patient visit, Dr. Thaler believes it is important to work successfully as a team, discussing any concerns they might have before going into surgery. As an anesthesiologist, he values creating meaningful relationships with his patients, and working well with other providers, nurses, and staff. 

Dr. Thaler finds interest in educating the community about COVID-19. Throughout the pandemic, Dr. Thaler worked at Jefferson Hospital and took care of many patients in the region for the benefit of their health. He worked with a niche team of providers to stay up to date on the latest COVID-19 policies and protocols.

Outside of treating patients in the operating room, Dr. Thaler enjoys spending time with his family, including his young children who keep him and his wife very busy and happy. They enjoy traveling, going to the shore, and playing sports.
