Kunal Mehta, MD is a member of Summit Health’s Cardiology team. Dr. Mehta has always had an interest in science, which, when combined with his own health experiences as a teenager, led him to into the medical profession.

As a non-invasive cardiologist, Dr. Mehta treats a wide range of patients; from young adults with congenital disease to older patients undergoing the natural aging process. His expertise spans managing disease such as hypertension, to focusing on cardiac-specific abnormalities such as valvular disease and arrhythmias.

For Dr. Mehta, patient care is about teamwork. “As a physician, I can provide knowledge and guidance for our patients to help them make the best decision for themselves. Patients need to feel in control of their health and empowered to manage their wellbeing,” he says. When meeting with patients, it's vital to him that they leave with the reassurance that they're on the right path in their healthcare journey.

Away from medicine, Dr. Mehta is a huge sports fan, rooting for the Yankees, Knicks, and Packers. He also enjoys playing golf, adding new sneakers to his collection, and exploring new recipes in the kitchen with his wife.
