Daniel Meshoyrer, DO, is a member of Summit Health’s Family Medicine team. His interest for healthcare began in high school, when he volunteered as a patient aide at his local hospital. This passion grew stronger during college when he became an emergency medical technician (EMT). 

Dr. Meshoyrer treats patients of all ages. He focuses on looking at a patient’s lifestyle, history, and daily activities to ensure a holistic approach to treatment. He treats a wide range of conditions, from acute illnesses like the flu and ear infections to chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension. His experience also includes working with elderly patients in assisted living and memory care settings.

Dr. Meshoyrer believes strongly in preventative care. “Making sure my patients are up to date on their vaccinations and screenings is important to me,” he says. “When my patients are healthy, it allows them to achieve their goals and live life to the fullest.” He also emphasizes the importance of establishing a clear plan before the end of each visit and ensuring that his patients feel they have his support. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Meshoyrer enjoys spending quality time with his wife and family. His personal interests include jazz music, rock climbing, and tending to his collection of houseplants.
