Sarah J. Fuzesi, MD is a board-certified member of the Summit Health Breast Surgery team. Dr. Fuzesi specializes in breast health care, including breast cancer, benign breast disease, breast care for lactating women, and breast care for high-risk patients. She performs breast-conserving therapy, mastectomy, including nipple-sparing mastectomy, as well as oncoplastic breast surgery. Dr. Fuzesi knew she wanted to play an active role in improving the health of her community. As a breast surgeon at Summit Health, she is able to do just that.

As a member of the Breast Care Center, Dr. Fuzesi works closely with members of a multidisciplinary team to ensure her patients have the best care and the most comprehensive options available to them.

Dr. Fuzesi enjoys helping each patient regain autonomy while establishing a relationship that makes them feel in control of their health and part of a team. “I never make assumptions about my patients,” says Dr. Fuzesi adding, “I spend time conversing with patients to understand who they are and what is most important to them.” She also ensures they have clear expectations before, during, and after surgery, as well as what to expect five or ten years from now. She is passionate about helping patients find the right surgery and treatment for them, specifically minimizing surgery and improving overall satisfaction.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Fuzesi enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
