Anitaben Kanani, APN is a Nurse Practitioner who is a member of the Summit Health Internal Medicine team.

Treating adolescents, adults and elderly adults for acute and primary care needs is Anita’s area of expertise. Specifically, this includes annual wellness visits, acute/urgent care issues, chronic health conditions, behavioral health, migraine, musculoskeletal pain, smoking cessation, school/sport physicals and more.

Her philosophy on successful patient care is to “provide patient-centric, individualized, evidence-based, compassionate and high-quality care to patients”, she says. She believes by building respectful and trusting, long-term relationships with patients, she can help them live the healthiest life possible and/or manage their medical conditions better. Additionally, Anita believes in preventative measures, lifestyle modification, and nutrition to further help her patients.

Most important during a patient visit is for Anita to provide timely, respectful, and high-quality patient care. She enjoys helping people and making a positive difference in patients’ lives. In her time away from the office she enjoys music, reading books, and meditation. She is also passionate about educating the community about healthy lifestyle modification, nutrition, and stress management.
