Deanna Scoca, MD, is a member of Summit Health's Pediatrics team. Dr. Scoca pursued a career in health care because she enjoys helping others and working with infants, children, and teenagers. Her area of expertise lies in General Pediatrics.

What Dr. Scoca enjoys most about her work is having a positive impact on the overall health of her patients and their families. She finds it incredibly rewarding to be able to contribute to their well-being and see them thrive. 

Dr. Scoca adopts a patient-centered approach to her practice. She believes in shared decision making, where she connects with her patients and their families to understand their concerns and figure out the best treatment plan. Dr. Scoca says, "It is most important to me during a visit that I make my patients and their families feel comfortable at the doctor's office."

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Scoca enjoys going for walks with her dog and spending time with her family.  She also has fun experimenting with new healthy recipes. Dr. Scoca is also passionate about mental health awareness, underlining the importance of caring for both physical and mental health for overall well-being.
