Christopher Sangiovanni, MD, is a member of Summit Health's Cardiology team. As a native of Berkeley Heights, where his primary office is located, Dr. Sangiovanni is deeply invested in giving back to his community.

Dr. Sangiovanni specializes in a wide variety of cardiovascular disease, ranging from preventative care to chronic disease management. He emphasizes a patient-centered approach, tailoring therapies to best fit each individual's lifestyle. He believes that understanding the patient's complaint and its impact on their life is the most important aspect of a visit.

Dr. Sangiovanni finds joy in his work, especially when he sees his patients improve and gain the ability to live more fulfilling lives. He says, "Helping people and watching them improve is the most rewarding part of what I do."

Outside of his work, Dr. Sangiovanni is a home cook specializing in Italian food. He enjoys playing sports such as basketball and golf, and cherishes the time he spends with his family.
