Rebecca Gendelman, MD, MS, is a member of Summit Health's Obstetrics and Gynecology team. As a specialist in OB/GYN, Dr. Gendelman is trained in complex obstetrical care and the treatment of most benign gynecological conditions. She has also been trained in minimally invasive surgical care, including robotic assisted surgery.

Dr. Gendelman works diligently to ensure that her patients feel safe and heard in her exam room. She believes that this approach allows her to make a meaningful impact on their general health and well-being.

During a patient visit, Dr. Gendelman believes that the most important task is to listen. "There is a huge amount of mistrust in our healthcare system today because our patients are not being heard," she says. "My primary task during visits is to listen to my patient completely so I can address their concerns fully." 

When she is not working, Dr. Gendelman enjoys spending time with her family. She is a mom, wife, and dog-mom and cherishes the time she spends with her loved ones. She also loves baking, cooking, and gardening. She is particularly passionate about issues related to birth experience and birth trauma, nutrition throughout the life cycle, patient advocacy, and contraception and family planning.
